GREENSBORO, N.C. – Following an undefeated weekend in the circle, Brittany Pickett has been named the ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week as announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference office. This is Pickett's seventh ACC weekly honor in her career and third for the Tar Heels in 2019.
Leading the Tar Heels to a shutout series sweep, Pickett tossed two-complete game victories over Virginia. Striking out six batters in each game, the junior did not allow a run and only allowed three hits in 10.0 innings. The Indian Trail, North Carolina native tossed a two-hitter on Saturday afternoon and a one-hitter Sunday – her third one-hitter of the season.
