One of the major storylines following the UNC football program's loss to TCU was how the Tar Heels would proceed at the quarterback spot moving forward.
Gio Lopez struggled in his first start as a Tar Heel, leaving the game in the third quarter due to a back injury. Max Johnson came in and did a solid job in relief, leading a touchdown drive that was one of the lone bright spots of the night for North Carolina.
With Lopez's health in question, there was speculation that we could see Johnson get the nod against Charlotte. However, that doesn't seem to be the case, as Pete Thamel noted on his appearance on ESPN College GameDay that Lopez is once again expected to start for the UNC football program.
