One year made all the difference for Pirates catcher Jacob Stallings

Not only did Jacob Stallings become the Pittsburgh Pirates’ starting catcher last season, but he served as one of their few bright spots. Seeing his first extended big-league action, he slashed .262/.325/.382 with an OPS of .708 — better than San Francisco’s Buster Posey, baseball’s highest-paid catcher, and a couple points below St. Louis’ Yadier Molina.
