April 29 is significant for two distinct reasons that both occurred in 2018. The Tar Heels won another ACC Championship that also marked the 600th career victory for head coach Brian Kalbas.

Carolina won its third consecutive ACC Championship by defeating top seeded Duke, 4-2, at the Cary Tennis Center. Carolina became the first program to win three-straight league titles since Georgia Tech from 2005-07. The Tar Heels' ninth title broke a tie with Clemson for the second most in league history.
The victory also marked the 600th win in the illustrious career of head coach Brian Kalbas.
