It was supposed to be a stellar rookie season for former North Carolina football standout Omarion Hamption. However, a serious ankle injury has forced him to miss the majority of the 2025 campaign. While there was hope he'd get back on the field this weekend, it's not going to happen.
On Friday afternoon, news broke via Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh that while Hampton was able to make some progress out on the practice field with LA, the team is going to play things safe and not rush him back. That's right, the Chargers have ruled him out to take on the Raiders:
