CHAPEL HILL—Second-ranked Notre Dame posted two long touchdown drives in the second half and defeated No. 19 North Carolina, 31-17, on Friday afternoon at Kenan Stadium.
The Fighting Irish scored TDs on a 97-yard drive in the third quarter and an 89-yard drive in the fourth period to pull away in the second half after the score had been tied 17-17 at halftime.
