Three-star defensive end Chris Collins from Benedictine College Prep school in Richmond, Virginia, has committed to North Carolina. He announced his decision on Twitter this afternoon, selecting the Tar Heels over his other finalist schools, Louisville, Tennessee, and Pitt.
Collins is 6’5” and 212 pounds. He tallied 13.5 tackles with 4.5 of them going for a loss during his junior season. He was also credited with 5.5 sacks and one interception. Collins even lined up at tight end, but that is very likely not something he’ll be asked to do at the collegiate level.
