WILMINGTON, N.C. --- Gavin Stupienski and Nick Feight hit back-to-back home runs in a four-run first and Stupienski added another homer in the fifth to lead No. 14 UNCW to a 6-2 win over No. 20 North Carolina Wednesday night at Brooks Field. Eli Sutherland hit his fifth homer of the year for the Tar Heels, who out-hit the Seahawks 11-8 but left 15 men on base in falling to 31-18 on the season.
UNCW (34-11) scored all the runs it would need in the first against UNC starter Rodney Hutchison Jr. (1-2). Stupienski went deep to right to make it 2-0 before Feight's longball one batter later.
