CHAPEL HILL—Jamie Ortega and Katie Hoeg posted eight points apiece as top-ranked North Carolina picked up a 20-8 victory over No. 7 Virginia on Friday afternoon at Dorrance Field.
The Tar Heels won their 20th consecutive game, matching the longest streak in school history (17 in a row to end the 2016 season and three in a row to start 2017).
Ortega finished with six goals and two assists, while Hoeg had four goals and four assists. Caitlyn Wurzburger posted season highs with four goals and five points.
