There had been a lot of talk about the expansion of the NCAA Tournament recently, as it appears the NCAA is looking at their biggest source of revenue to distribute and create more games so they can—perhaps—have more games to sell and squeeze a few extra shillings out of their TV partners. It could also be a way to try and get more schools involved in some of the distribution, as more games mean more “points” that are used to determine how much a conference gets.
So while everyone was focusing on that expansion and debating how worthless it really was or how many we are going to have to begrudgingly accept, the NCAA slid another expansion under our noses.
