CHAPEL HILL—North Carolina dropped the doubles point, then roared back to beat Navy, 4-1, in an NCAA Men's Tennis Championship first-round match on Friday afternoon at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.

Logan Zapp won the clincher for the Tar Heels, breaking serve in the final game to beat Jack McBride, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 4 singles. UNC won for the ninth time in its last 11 matches and improved to 17-8 in 2022.
