CHAPEL HILL—North Carolina senior Taylor Moreno picked up the 2021 National Goalkeeper of the Year award from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, the IWLCA announced on Thursday.
Moreno finished second in the nation in goals against average (6.65) and save percentage (.549) and led her team to the ACC championship and the NCAA Semifinals. The 2021 ACC Defender of the Year, Moreno was a Tewaaraton Award finalist, and also named a finalist for the 2021 Honda Award for women's lacrosse. Moreno is a two-time ACC Tournament MVP and was an IWLCA All-America in 2019.
