CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina sophomore outfielder Vance Honeycutt continues to receive high acclaim from the national baseball media outlets as he was selected First Team Preseason All-America by DI Baseball and Second Team Preseason All-America by Baseball America on Monday.
Honeycutt was previously named First Team Preseason All-America by Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game. DI Baseball and Perfect Game also chose him to be selected as the 2023 ACC Player of the Year.
As a freshman he slashed .296/.409/.672 with 25 home runs, 57 RBIs and 29 stolen bases to become the first 20-20 player in school history.
