BLACKSBURG, VA. – equalizer in the 82 minute helped the North Carolina men's soccer team (2-0-2, 0-0-1 ACC) remain unbeaten, earning a 1-1 draw at Virginia Tech (0-2-3, 0-0-1 ACC) in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener Friday night.
How It Happened
• The lone Carolina shot on goal in the opening frame came in the fifth minute, as effort off the right foot was halted by the Hokie goalkeeper.
• In the 30 minute, Virginia Tech's Ethan Ballek would send a laser from just outside the box, but Tar Heel goalkeeper made the save, to keep the opening half clean sheet intact.
