Austin Greaser and Ryan Burnett shot under par to lead the University of North Carolina men's golf team to a tie for fourth place after the first round of the Linger Longer Invitational Sunday at the Great Waters Golf Course in Eatonton, Ga.
Carolina shot 2-under 286 and is tied with South Florida, seven strokes behind round one leader Vanderbilt, which opened with a 9-under 279. Georgia is second at 280 and Florida is third at 284.
Greaser is tied for eighth place after he made eight birdies in an up-and-down round and finished with a 2-under 70.
