CHAPEL HILL—With four returning starters, five exciting newcomers and a new (but very familiar) head coach, there are plenty of reasons for Tar Heel fans to be excited about the 2021-22 Carolina men's basketball team.
New head coach Hubert Davis played for Dean Smith and was an assistant for nine years to Hall of Famer Roy Williams at UNC. When Williams retired last April, Davis took over the program and filled out his staff with assistants who played at UNC.
And with the announcement that the Smith Center will be open to fans at full seating capacity at least through December, the news keeps getting better for Carolina fans.
