PARAMUS, N.J. – University of North Carolina senior Dylan Menante won three consecutive holes and went on to defeat Andres Acevedo 3&2 to advance into the round of 32 at the 2022 United States Amateur at the Ridgewood Country Club.
Menante will play BYU's Carson Lundell Thursday morning beginning at 8:10 a.m. The winner of that match plays again in the afternoon on Thursday in the round of 16.
Menante won the eighth hole to even the match against Acevedo, who played at Seton Hall, then won the 10th, 11th and 12th holes to go 3 up.
