CHAPEL HILL—The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Thursday the 20 watchlist members for the 2019 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award. University of North Carolina senior Luke Maye made the list.
Maye earned first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference and third-team All-America honors as a junior in 2017-18, averaging career highs of 16.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
Named after Class of 2010 Hall of Famer and two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Karl Malone, the annual honor in its fifth year recognizes the top power forwards in Division I men's college basketball.
