GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – For the fifth time this fall, North Carolina sophomore Erin Matson has been selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week.
Matson had four goals and an assist as the Tar Heels beat two ranked teams in back-to-back road games over the weekend. In Saturday's ACC match at No. 14 Syracuse, the Chadds Ford, Pa., forward scored UNC's second goal and helped set up the other two scores in a 3-1 UNC victory.
On Sunday at No. 21 Albany, she scored three goals and assisted on the other in a 4-1 decision.
