It’s difficult to see the Seattle Mariners trading third baseman Kyle Seager this offseason given his contract, though they’ll not shy away from the possibility. He’s owed $18 million in 2021. And if he’s traded, that clause in his contracts kicks in and the club option becomes a player option, where he’s guaranteed at least $15 million for the 2022 season. (Seattle Times)
