CHAPEL HILL – Head coach Donna J. Papa is pleased to announce the addition of Pitcher/Utility, Kianna Jones. Jones joins the Tar Heel program after spending her freshman year at the University of Minnesota.
While at Minnesota, Jones appeared in 18 games, making 16 starts with most of the action coming in right field or the DP position. Jones also made one appearance in the circle. She recorded a .250 batting average while hitting two doubles, two home runs and scoring eight runs. Her collegiate debut in the circle came during a relief appearance at the NFCA D1 Leadoff Classic against NC State.
