John Papuchis's first year as UNCa's defensive coordinator didn't go as planned. The Tar Heels finished with a 3-9 record and were No. 88 in the country in scoring defense (31.3), No. 112 in rushing defense (213.0 yards per game), and No. 64 in passing defense.
