CHAPEL HILL – Freshman guard Jeremiah Francis will transfer from the University of North Carolina.
Francis played in 16 games and made three starts at the point in 2019-20. The Reynoldsburg, Ohio, native averaged 3.3 points and totaled 26 assists. He did not play in the first eight games due to a left knee injury he suffered in high school, before making his collegiate debut at Virginia on Dec. 8, 2019.
He scored in double figures in three consecutive games in December (11 at Gonzaga, 12 vs. UCLA and 10 vs. Yale) before totaling 18 points over the final 20 games.
