Carter Jenkins and his inner circle launched a full-out assault on Wells Fargo Championship Director Kym Hougham that, in the event a sponsor's exemption should come up for the PGA Tour event at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, Jenkins would be delighted and deserving of taking it.
His father and caddie Bobby, his swing coach Ed Ibarguen, Carolinas Golf Association Executive Director Jack Nance, and his former coaches at Carolina, Andrew Sapp and Andrew DiBitetto, all wrote letters on his behalf.
