CHAPEL HILL—Six University of North Carolina players were among 128 student-athletes in Division I honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2019.
Attackers Jamie Ortega and Katie Hoeg and defender Emma Trenchard earned first-team All-South honors. Midfielder Gianna Bowe, defender Charlotte Sofield and goalie Taylor Moreno made the second team.
These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-America team. The IWLCA will celebrate the 2019 All-Americas during Divisional All-America Specials, which will be aired on Lax Sports Network in mid-June.
