San Diego is 2,180 miles to the west of Chapel Hill, a distance that caused Don Chapman to think long and hard about whether or not he would indeed commit to play football at UNC. But in the end, he weighed the positives against the negatives, and it led the California native to pop for the Tar Heels. “Nobody believed I would go that far, but it’s a great program,” Chapman said.
