If there is one thing a minor league ballpark can do, it’s find ways to use the space even when their team is on the road. Major League Baseball has helped their affiliates out with this by creating a new product that tours various stadiums during the summer: Home Run Derby X.
Everyone is aware at this point that the Home Run Derby is the most popular part of the All Star Weekend, and it was even used this year as a way to settle the tie in the All Star Game. The format has been messed around with, but the basic heart of it is this: Hit as many home runs as possible.
