Hokies Trip Tar Heels, 79-77, in 2OT

BLACKSBURG, VA.—Virginia Tech overcame a 12-point, second-half deficit and sent North Carolina to its fifth consecutive loss, 79-77, in double overtime on Wednesday night at Cassell Coliseum.

Landers Nolley II hit a three-pointer with 18 seconds left in the second overtime to give the Hokies a 77-75 lead. After the Tar Heels tied it up at 77, Tyrece Radford hit a layup with 0.4 seconds remaining to give Tech the win.

After Carolina led by 12 with just over 12 minutes to play in the second half, the Hokies clawed back behind hot three-point shooting and cut the lead to as few as three points in the final minutes.
