New Orleans, La. - The University of North Carolina men's and women's cross country programs both earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors, as announced by the organization Thursday. In addition to the team honors, senior Paige Hofstad was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual list.
Hofstad also received All-ACC Academic accolades for the 2019 cross country season on the same day, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Hofstad, a senior from New Braunfels, Texas, is majoring in peace, war and defense. She was the top Tar Heel finisher in five of six races during the season, and finished fifth at the 2019 ACC Championship, ninth at Region and 48th at NCAA Championships.
