Hoeg Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina women's lacrosse player Katie Hoeg has been named to the 2020 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District III Women's At-Large Team, as announced by the organization Thursday.

Hoeg, a senior from Mattituck, New York, is the UNC women's lacrosse program's second Academic All-District honoree, joining Porter Wilkinson (1999-2002).

A biology major, Hoeg is one of 12 female student-athletes selected to the District III team, which draws from Division I schools in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Nominees must have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA. Candidates for the women's at-large teams come from the following sports: bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis and water polo.
