CHAPEL HILL --- Top-seeded Troy Heilmann leads the contingent from North Carolina as the pre-seeds for the 2018 ACC Wrestling Championships were announced Tuesday by the league office. The No. 8 149-pounder in the country, Heilmann enters Saturday's championship tournament at 27-4 on the year. He is joined as a top-two seed by fellow redshirt senior Ethan Ramos, who will receive a first-round bye at 174 pounds as the No. 2 seed.
Ramos is the lone Tar Heel with an ACC title on his resume, as the Hawthorne, New Jersey, product was the 2016 champion at 174.
