Heels Conclude Homestand Against Longwood, UNCW

CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina (29-9, 9-3 ACC) finishes up a nine-game homestand with a pair of midweek nonconference games on April 4-5. UNC will host Longwood on Tuesday at 4 p.m. followed by UNCW at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Against the Competition

UNC has faced Longwood a total of 12 times since their first meeting in 2008. The Heels played the Lancers three times last season. Carolina defeated LU, 5-3, in Farmville on March 15, before being pair in the same NCAA Regional in Harrisonburg, Va. UNC beat Longword, 6-4, on a walk-off home run—Kristen Brown’s ACC-record 66th career jack—in the postseason opener, but LU topped UNC, 5-4, in nine innings the following day to knock Carolina out of the tournament.
