GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina's Kacie Harvey and Virginia's Natasha Subhash have been named Co-Freshmen of the Week, while NC State's Alana Smith has been named the ACC Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
A rookie from Braintree, Massachusetts, Harvey had a strong weekend for North Carolina. She picked up three singles wins and a doubles win at the Freeman Memorial Championship in Las Vegas, highlighted by a two-set victory over No. 16-ranked Lisa Marie Rioux of Oklahoma State.
Harvey has compiled a 9-2 singles record thus far in her first season in Chapel Hill.
