TEMPE, Ariz. – North Carolina's Alexa Graham (UTR 11.75) has been named the UTR ITA Division I Women's Tennis Player of the Week. The Tar Heel senior played the #1 position in singles where she handled both of her nationally-ranked opponents in straight sets last weekend.
On Saturday, Graham battled through to defeat Andrea Cerdan of #10 Michigan, UTR 10.94, 6-4 7-5. In addition to winning in singles, Graham and Sara Daavettila clinched the doubles point for UNC with a 6-1 victory over Jones and Cerdan. Graham is the second Tar Heel to win the UTR ITA Player of the Week/Month award this season.
