Garvanian’s Third Goal Lifts Men’s Soccer Past Notre Dame

Box Score NOTRE DAME, Ind. – A first-half penalty kick conversion by Milo Garvanian was all that was needed for the University of North Carolina men's soccer team to prevail over Notre Dame, 1-0, on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium for its first Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season.

The victory in Notre Dame, Indiana, was also the Tar Heels' first road win of the year as they improve to 4-2-2 (1-1-1). The Fighting Irish fall to 3-3-1 (1-2).

Carolina set the pace early with its high intensity during what proved to be a physical contest.
