The Washington Redskins selected Cole Holcomb, a 6-foot-1, 235-pound linebacker from the University of North Carolina, in the fifth round with the 173rd overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Five years ago, Holcomb graduated from New Smyrna Beach (Florida) High School with little interest from NCAA Division I FBS schools. He headed to UNC as a walk-on. (Olean Times Herald)
