According to Stadium's Jeff Goodman, Monmouth has hired former UNC standout J.R. Reid as an assistant coach. Reid played with Monmouth head coach King Rice at North Carolina. Reid played at UNC under head coach Dean Smith from 1986-89. Rice was at Carolina from 1987-1991. The two overlapped in Chapel Hill for two seasons. (Inside Carolina)
