North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell spent parts of nine months on Florida State's 2019 commitment list. He pledged to the Seminoles and then-head-coach Willie Taggert in 2018 but flipped and signed with UNC in 2019. Howell is no stranger to Tallahassee.
