Mack Brown and the football program snagged another recruit, just 9 days before signing day on February 6. Safety Don Chapman committed to the Heels on Sunday night. The three-star recruit from California visited UNC two weeks ago, and hasn’t taken any other visits since returning home. Clearly the cross-country trip did not deter Chapman or the Heels in their pursuit of talent.
According to 247 Sports, Chapman is the #92 safety in the nation and #96 overall recruit in the state of California. He originally committed to Washington State, but re-opened his recruitment when he decided to not sign in December.
