CHAPEL HILL – Eight Tar Heels have been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team for women's soccer, announced Thursday by the league. The honor recognizes players who excelled academically and athletically during the 2021 season.
Rachel Jones was named to the team for the fourth time, Maycee Bell was voted onto the squad for a third year while Claudia Dickey, Rachel Dorwart and Sam Meza were honored for a second time. Sophomore Avery Patterson along with freshmen Emily Colton and Emily Murphy each made the team for the first time.
