Ever since he left Chapel Hill, his draft stock has managed to increase after going through workouts and interviews. Where is his draft stock right now? It depends on who you ask, but ESPN seems to think he can be a late first-round pick.
ESPN’s latest NBA mock draft has Powell being taken as the 28th overall pick by the Boston Celtics. This is interesting to me, because the Celtics have Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but the Tatum aspect is actually part of their reasoning.
