CHAPEL HILL – The University of North Carolina baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2021-22 academic year the organization announced Wednesday.
The award honors high school and college programs coached by ABCA members that post a grade-point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year. Over 250 high school programs and more than 420 collegiate programs were recognized with this year's award.
UNC was one of three ACC programs to receive the award this season along with Duke and Louisville.
