Last night the Toronto Raptors won the 2019 NBA title, upsetting the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors.
As a UNC fan, why does that matter?
Well, Danny Green is a Toronto Raptor. Thus, Danny Green is a World Champion. Again.
It’s Green’s second title after winning one with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014.
Green was traded to the Raptors, along with superstar Kawhi Leonard, before the season started after having spent the previous eight years in San Antonio. He promptly started all 80 regular season games that he participated in.
