CHAPEL HILL --- Two-time North Carolina All-ACC goalkeeper Claudia Dickey was selected by the OL Reign in the second round of the 2022 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Draft Saturday afternoon. A two-year starter who played in three College Cup semifinal games and two national championship matches, Dickey is the 20th Tar Heel to taken in the NWSL Draft and first goalie.
Dickey is the fourth Tar Heel to be drafted by the franchise formerly known as Seattle Reign. She will play alongside former Tar Heel Amber Brooks, who enters the 2022 season in her final season of a three-year contact with the Reign.
