Carolina Leadership Lab Goes To Mini Medical School

Are the leadership qualities and skills that North Carolina student-athletes develop through sport relevant to life beyond athletics? According to a group of UNC doctors, the answer is a resounding, “yes.”

On Nov. 10, a group of 32 Carolina student-athletes attended “mini medical school” as part of their participation in Leadership Lab, a Richard A. Baddour Carolina Leadership Academy program that gives participants more opportunities to hone their leadership skills. Tar Heels from 13 teams spent the evening learning from some commendable leaders: the physicians of UNC Children’s Hospital.
