Carolina Hosts JMU In Home Opener Saturday

CHAPEL HILL --- North Carolina finally makes its home debut when the Tar Heels welcome James Madison to Kenan Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 17. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on the Regional Sports Network. This is the latest calendar date Carolina has played its home opener since the 2010 season.

The Tar Heels are coming off a 48-23 win at Illinois that evened their record at 1-1. It was quarterback Mitch Trubisky’s first win as a starter and the junior signal caller accounted for four touchdowns, throwing for 265 yards and rushing for another 42.
