TAR HEELS HEAD TO SAN JOSE FOR NCAA COLLEGE CUP: After defeating ninth-ranked Southern California 3-2 last Friday night in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal round, the North Carolina women's soccer program has earned the right to advance to the NCAA Women's College Cup for the 29th time in school history.
The Tar Heels, 23-1-1 on the season and the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season and tournament champions, will play the Washington State Cougars this coming Friday at 4 p.m. PST (7 p.m. EST) in the NCAA Tournament semifinals at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif.
