Greenville, N.C. – The Tar Heels lost a low scoring affair in Greenville Friday night as they fell to ECU 2-1 at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium. Pitchers on both teams combined for 25 strikeouts on the evening as the Tar Heels only registered two hits to bring home its lone run.
The Pirates got on the board first in the bottom of the second inning to take the early 2-0 lead. Jake Washer started things off with a single to centerfield before a Chandler Jenkins double off the wall put men on second and third with no outs.
