MADISON, Wisc. - The No. 2 North Carolina women's tennis team booked its eighth straight appearance in the finals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship with a thrilling 4-1 victory over No. 6 NC State in a Sunday semifinals match from the Nielson Tennis Center.
North Carolina (10-0) will face the winner of Sunday night's semifinal match between Pepperdine and Oklahoma on Monday at 1p.m. ET.
The Tar Heels are one victory away from joining Stanford as the only programs to win three straight ITA Indoor titles. The Cardinal won three of its record 10 titles between 2004-06.
