Chances are that if you’ve gone to a game at Boshamer Stadium at any point since 2017, you’ve seen a Golden Retriever hanging around the UNC side. He’ll occasionally be visible in the dugout for pets, and will also run some new baseballs in a bucket out to the home plate umpire.
That, of course is REMINGTON (yes it’s supposed to be all capital letters), and it’s hard to believe the staple at the park has been there for nine years. On Wednesday, though, REMINGTON had an announcement for everyone.
The announcement doesn’t necessarily make it clear if the 2025 season was it for REMINGTON, or if it is planned for him to have a bit of a retirement tour for the 2026 season.
